In near perfect early morning weather, around 100 personally invited spectators watched and supported Graham take Ten Class records in the Bentley Meteor “Thunderbolt,” a car of his own design and construction at Millbrook on 2 August, 2003.

Using specially modified tyres, the car never gave a single moment of trouble, while it was clear that he was using only a fraction of the available power. The transmission never reached high temperature and the one tyre (one his right front) which was expected to give problems behaved perfectly. In fact it was the right rear which surprised by starting to break up with two laps to go. A quick inspection permitted Graham to resume the track for the last few miles and bring home all the records he targeted.
